Background & Early Education

Born in Yeosu, a coastal South Korean port city renowned for its rich artistic culture, Jung’s journey began remarkably early. He started painting in his studio at just ten years old. Through decades of dedicated study and practice, he transitioned from broad realism into a specialised, atmosphere-driven watercolour discipline. Today, he operates his private studio in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, where he paints exclusively in watercolour and mentors artists internationally.
